Tennessee History Day Assistantship
The Tennessee Historical Society employs a part-time assistant to help with the planning and coordination of Tennessee History Day, the state-level competition for National History Day, from January through April of each year. Applicants can expect to work an average of 15 hours per week, with heavier commitments periodically during the competition season, and must work on the date of the state contest. The assistant will receive a stipend and weekly reimbursement of parking fees. The position is not limited to currently enrolled students.

Tennessee Historical Society Internships
The Tennessee Historical Society welcomes letters of interest from individuals interested in working with THS on a part-time, temporary basis. These opportunities are flexible and can be designed to suit the interests and needs of the applicant. Previous interns have written entries for the Tennessee Encyclopedia of History and Culture, created content for the website, researched curriculum standards, and developed funding opportunities. Course credit can be arranged for students. Interested persons should contact THS directly. Applications are reviewed May 15 and November 15.
